Gore certainly has the name recognition to instantly become a serious contender. He is now considered an authority on one of the main issues in this election cycle--global warming. The Oscar and the Nobel Prize also do not hurt.

I think he should run for the office, but I do not agree that his Oscar win nor his Nobel prize should be used as part of or to influence voters to vote for him
