Should a sex change operation be allowed to be written off of the taxes of a person who has under gone a sex change operation?

It should be treated exactly as any other medical procedure. So in those cases where the costs are a high enough percentage of annual income to be tax deductable, they should be tax deductable.

if the procedure is done as a cause of necessity due to medical reasons then it should fall under the same conditions as other medical procedures

but if it is done simply as a matter of choice, then definately not
