Humans are much more universal than robots and can carry out complex experiments and analysis. They can better react to unexpected findings.

It's much cheaper, simpler (since you don't have to design life supporting systems), and less risky. Manned flight is good for nothing but PR and fundraising.

Considering how much territory there is to cover and how much of space exploration is simply observing, unmanned spacecraft make far more sense.
However, once one of these probes discovers alien life, I'm all for sending a wisecracking team of space marines to exterminate them before they reach Earth and impregnate our faces.
