Of course they should be able to marry, the only people who seem to have a problem with gays having the right to marry, are bigots, nazi's, and the religious. The first two are not socially acceptable positions for one to hold, no one would ever listen to a bigot or a nazi or want to make laws based on their opinions.
The religious on the other hand are for some reason taken seriously, I purposely say for some reason, because their beliefs are delusional. Anyone who went around saying they believed the same things the religious do only in another context would be labeled as mad and would be locked away. For some reason people respect these non-sensical beliefs because they come from a book thats only 2000 years old.
Which brings me to my final point, the relgious believe they have the market on marriage, by that I mean they believe that marriage is the holy union, between a man and a women blessed by the god of abraham. The reason they don't accept gays is because their holy books say it is an offence to their god and they can't kill them like the books says to do. So they punish them the only way they can by making a big deal outside our courts. By using any power they have to stop gays from having equal rights.
The fact is that the relgious did not invent the word marriage or the concept. Humans have been practicing marriage for tens of thousands of years. Its not a christian thing, its not a muslim thing, its not a jewish thing or a hindu thing, marriage has nothing to do with some bronze age religious belief. It has to do with humans making a concept like love, intimacy and monogamy a physical practice.

If marriage means so little today, with divorse rates at an all time high and what ever else you believe, why do you care if gays enter into a relationship called marriage. are you that archaic that you have to hold on to that final thread and hope it doesn't break?

How are they exposing young children to homosexuality? Would you rather they get exposed to it via movies? Those people who live gay lives are not evil, Christianity portrays them that way, because it is a faith built on stories and paranoia.
Also how exactly does it hurt children by exposing them to all sorts of lifestyles? Those hurting them are the homophobics you ostracize the gay community as being harmful evildoers!!!

And you have every right by the constitution to fight for what you believe to be right. Just as much as the gay community has the right to fight for the same rights! Not everyone believes in Christianity, and those were the principles that dictated that marriage was Man & WOMAN.....there is no legal documentation as such!

I dont think marriage holds that much value anymore, to many people divorce now. as long as there is a stable loving home who cares if there is a ring on their finger or not?

and on the comments against homosexual marriage, not everyone can help how they feel, and u only live once, so should u go through it unhappy? if they are happy with a member from the same sex then i say go for it! they are probably better parents than some of the heterosexual couples anyway!

Gay marriages are totally wrong in every way. God made a man and a woman for a reason. It's not that gays shouldn't exist, it's just that they shouldn't marry. When men and women exchange vows at marriage, they have those just for men and women. When there is gay marriage, kids who see this on the news (if any watch the news) will think also that this is okay, when it so isn't. And I know that the Bible may not all be correct in some specific dates or small things like that, but I believe that gay marriage comes out loud and clear that it should not happen according to God.

First of all I'm not married yet, I'm still lookin for my Godly wife to be; and second of all stop blaming the parents. Some straight parents are bad influences on their kids but it's the kids decisions in life that make him/her what they are. I am glad to say I have 2 Godly parents that taught me how to lead a good Godly life. I'm glad I don't have parents like those, I see all the hurt that those types of parents cause; but there is no way you can tell me having gay parents is better. Because gay or not your parents will be messed up without God.
