Is the Bible true?

I believe that the Bible is inspired by God.
Many seminarians would argue that it has not always been translated accurately, eg King James Version. However, the Dead Sea Scrolls and other historical records support the vast majority of the writings as accurate.
I think Jesus wants us to know Him personally
and use critical thinking to find what is truth.
He is truth and He can reveal that to people who seek the truth through an imperfectly translated Bible, too. His Holy Spirit speaks today as well as in Biblical times.

Biblical scholars well say yes but some are outlandish they can't be true. I believe quite a few of the stories are fables created to teach us good morals and over the centuries people started believing the stories to be true. Another good portion of the stories I believe to be false acounts or twisted truths and the others are historical facts and alot of them have been proven to be real. Also they keep saying they find new books to the bible, all the bible is, is a record of stories, beliefs, and historical facts. Anything writen then made it into the bible, even though they say God told them what to write which I believe is true but i also believe other pwople threw their stories in as well.

The Bible is what I would call a book of 'selected truth', of course the word truth is debatable. All the books in the Bible are books of MEN. The Book of Mary obviously didn't fit the bill with the men so they omitted. Also, have you ever just sat down and read some of the stuff? It's pretty misognistic. And just one 'rule' to mention, if you were born out of wedlock, not only are you not getting into heaven, but your kids ain't either...just to mention one 'truth' of The Bible. Jesus WAS a man who existed, but was he the Messiah? Well...that's the question.

His Holy Spirit speaks? Hmmmmm does it speak only to a chosen select or something? And if so isn't that what we would call discrimination?
