As far as gay bashing, Ahmadinejad is no different from American religious right

Interesting that you would compare a man who so avidly criticizes the United States to that very country. Yes, both do actively criticize the homosexual community although in most other aspects they differ greatly.

Yes Geoffrey, there is a large difference. I'm not sure is I would relate the man to terror and destruction. Apparently he remarked that "Israel shall be wiped off the face of the map." But to my current understanding they're still there. No I'm not sticking up for the president of Iran. Truthfully his advanced nuclear technology frightens me a little, but I'm sure that the American's possess just as much knowledge, they just aren't boasting it at the moment. Which of course is why I proudly sing my Canadian national anthem, but that's not the point at hand.

The point is yes, both sides agree on one thing, homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. I disagree. One side however is christian and believes that Jesus is the way, whereas the other side is islamic.
That's all I have to say, I am finished.

Both claim that homosexuality is a lifestyle choice as opposed to an actual physiological trait. Both see this "lifestyle choice" as "unnatural" and evil. Both actively work to deny homosexuals their human rights. So, "as far as gay bashing", they're pretty close in both views and actions.

The man is related to genocide. Not many religious righties have the notoriousness he carries. Im not big on both, but I see a big difference.
