Pizza with ranch dressing
Category: Other
Excellent
If you're ever in the mood for an excellent pizza with a ranch base as the main sauce, try this flavor combination:
Roast beef as your main meat ingredient.
Green bell peppers for crunch and sweetness.
Red onion for a little bite and sweetness, also don't under estimate the visual appeal of red onion.
Roasted garlic; this will help mellow out the usual intense flavor of the garlic to something fairly mild and delicious.
Aged cheddar cheese, as the aged flavor goes well with the boldness of the onion and garlic and tends to mingle well with roast beef.
You can substitute portabella mushrooms for the roast beef if you're a vegetarian, just make sure you sauté them with a little bit of salt before using them as a topping.
Combine roasted garlic to the ranch dressing with an approximate 1:5 ratio, add cracked peppercorn to taste after the garlic is mixed in, and use that for your main sauce. Top your pizza as usual. Drizzle a little bit of your favorite BBQ sauce on the cheddar cheese for some extra punch.
Even if you're not a huge fan of ranch dressing, give this combination a try, it's a pretty fine example of ranch dressing on a pizza that is extremely delicious.
I just ate 4 slices of pizza with wing-ranch (My own combination of buffalo wing hot sauce and ranch dressing)

Nasty
You wouldn't want buttermilk or mayonnaise* on your pizza, so why would put on something that's commonly a mixture of the two?
Of course, if you like ranch dressing to begin with, your tastes are already suspect, so go ahead and top your pizza with whatever you want.
*Unless maybe you live in Japan. But if that's the case, all bets are off.
