I'm afraid you started a losing argument. It's technically impossible for half the population to not have below average intelligence because if you think of an average as a number line there are numbers on either side. The higher the average the higher the lower numbers are. The lower the average the lower the higher numbers on.
Example: Four people took a test. Their marks were as follows:
74%, 86%, 54% and 63%. The average is 69%.
BUT if the results were 92%, 87%, 83% and 97% the average would be 90%.
So you see it doesn't matter that half the people are below average, it matters what that average is.
That of course was not my only argument. I also argue that your ideology reminds me of Hitler. Hitler is not someone you want people to think of when they think of you. There are stupid people in the world, but because two stupid people reproduce it doesn't mean that their child will automatically be stupid. Unless of course their cousins. Perhaps you should read the play Sterilization and sit and realize the massive effect that it would have.

Half of the population is below average intelligence therefore I believe children should undergo IQ and common sense tests at the age of 12 and sterilised if they do not meet national standards. This should prevent people like the couple from New Zealand naming their baby 'Superman 4 Real' from ever reproducing again.

My rigorous investigation tells me that half of the population is above average as well.

haha. i would hope that half the population is below average intelligence, otherwise there's some sort of problem. and nazi ideology probably isn't the best way to solve america's education failings.

Regardless of how many people you steralize, half the population will always be below average. All you can do is try to move the mean higher.
In the words of Booger from Revenge of the Nerd 2, "Who decides the standards?" After intelligence, do we then start steralizing people who can only do 10 push ups? Then those who have higher than 5% body fat? Regardless of what someone may think, its rare that someone is superior to someone else in every way.

damn it i forgot the difference between the mean and the average..
if there are four people who have an IQ's of 100,1,1, and 1, the average is arround 25. and decidedly more then half of the population is under the average. Try it yourself at home kids with any sufficiently large outliers!
